Coping with a disability can be a daunting task, and keeping oneself occupied is an essential part of it: Time for Hobbies. Engaging in activities that one enjoys is an excellent way to keep the mind sharp. Over the years, I have tried several hobbies, and playing video games has become one of my favorites. However, the use of a controller with its button placement has made it challenging for me to enjoy playing.

To overcome this, I use the SmartNav head mouse, which is a unique technology that enables me to play video games using head movements. Unfortunately, SmartNav head mouse has been discontinued, but there are several alternatives available, including Tobii Eyetrackers, which I am currently exploring.

The SmartNav head mouse system comprises an IR reflector that is attached to the user's glasses or hat. A sensor is then connected to the computer, which tracks the movement of the IR reflector and moves the mouse pointer accordingly. The system also includes a button and a bite piece, which function as the left and right-click respectively. With the SmartNav head mouse, I can enjoy playing video games without the need to use my hands, which is a significant advantage for me as someone with a disabilityly.

Have you heard of the Razer Tartarus V2 keypad? It's a high-end gaming accessory that lets you create custom macros for a more immersive gaming experience. With its thumb pad, you can easily control character movements while playing video games.

What are macros? They're essentially shortcuts that you can program to execute a specific set of actions with a single button press. For example, if you're playing a game that requires complex command inputs, you can program a macro to input those commands with a single button press. This makes it easier to execute complex moves quickly and efficiently, giving you a competitive edge in online gaming.

Overall, the Razer Tartarus V2 keypad is a must-have for serious gamers who are looking to optimize their gameplay experience.

When it comes to using advanced equipment, one of my favorite tools is the Tobii Eyetracker. This innovative technology relies on a bar which follows your eye movements and automatically moves your mouse cursor to wherever you're looking on the screen. It's an incredible feat of engineering that has a significant impact on productivity. The only downside is that it doesn't yet support multiscreen configuration, which can be a bit challenging for some users. Nevertheless, I'm optimistic that this feature will be added soon, making the Tobii Eyetracker even more versatile and valuable.

When it comes to my hobbies, I love to indulge in a few things that keep me occupied and happy. One of my favourite hobbies is working with Legos. The sensation of using my fingers and hands to create something is very satisfying. It's a great way to improve my dexterity and motor skills. Plus, the feeling of accomplishment I get when I finish a project is just fantastic.

Another hobby that brings me immense joy is socializing. Despite being in a wheelchair, I never shy away from meeting new people and engaging in meaningful conversations. It's a great way to keep my mind active and refreshed. Whenever I interact with people, I get a sense of positivity and a boost in my mood. People have always approached me with a smile on their face, which is very heartening. Even though you might be different, you should never be scared to talk to people. You are unique, and there are plenty of people out there who would love to hear your story and have a conversation with you. Remember, you don't have to go through life alone. There are people who are willing to support you and be there for you whenever you need them.

As my fiancé and I embark on this journey together, we have made a significant promise to each other. This promise is all-encompassing and centers around the idea of living our best lives. We have pledged to support each other in every way possible, and to help each other achieve our full potential. In the year 2023/2024, we plan to focus on two key aspects of our promise. Firstly, we will prioritize facing our deepest fears head-on, pushing ourselves to our limits and conquering the challenges that we set for ourselves. Secondly, we plan on taking meaningful vacations that will allow us to unwind and enjoy life to the fullest. These vacations will provide us with the opportunity to rejuvenate and re-energize, so we can continue to be the best versions of ourselves.
