Our family and I embarked on an exciting adventure and relocated to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, almost a year ago. This move has been the most thrilling and daunting experience of my life. We took a leap of faith and uprooted our lives for the sake of paradise, and it has been an incredible journey so far. We are learning to embrace the new culture and environment, which is full of new and exciting things to do and explore. We are extremely grateful for this change, and we eagerly anticipate what the future holds.
When I was younger, I never imagined I would undertake something so big. However, an amazing woman came into my life and became my fiancé. She has provided me with unwavering courage and support and has believed in me more than anyone else. She has shown me I can do anything I set my mind to and that I can accomplish anything I set my heart on (and so can you!) .
The VA clinic in Myrtle Beach has been a godsend, providing more support than I ever received in Michigan. I was overwhelmed by the support they gave me, and I finally felt understood. It has given me a chance to succeed, and the VA is helping me and my family find our way. Although we are still new to the support systems in South Carolina, I am hopeful that we will become more active in the veteran community here.
For my family, we feel the need for a community in South Carolina, but we are building one slowly but surely. Our children are homeschooled, and we encourage each of them to become leaders in our community and act as role models for other children in their peer group. Living in the beautiful state of South Carolina has been an absolute godsend for my family and me. The wealth of resources we've discovered here has been a game-changer, and we've encountered so many incredible opportunities that were previously out of reach. I've learned that taking a leap of faith to better oneself is a crucial step towards personal growth. Although it's never an easy decision, it's always worthwhile, and the rewards can be life-changing. Until you try, you'll never know, and even if it doesn't work out, it's a valuable lesson learned. Taking that bold step can make the difference between success and failure.
If you're unhappy with your current situation, don't just settle for it. Whenever possible, motivate yourself to step out of your comfort zone and take a chance. Life is far too short to be unhappy, and taking risks can open up a world of possibilities and lead to a more fulfilling life. It's also important to be kind to yourself and understand that making mistakes is a natural part of life. Lastly, don't forget to be grateful for the good things in life, as they are the true treasures that make life worth living.

Hey, if you're a fighter like me, I wanted to extend an invitation to join my Facebook group called Handicap Help. It's a really supportive community of disabled veterans and other disabled individuals from all over the world. The group was actually founded by me, Sgt. Teegardin, a super brave and dedicated U.S. Infantryman. I live by the Infantryman's creed every day, and as a quadriplegic and I understand the unique challenges faced by disabled veterans. I am really committed to fostering camaraderie beyond the battlefield and providing support to our troops, even after retirement, whether by choice or due to injury. The community is amazing, and it's a testament to the resilience and strength of our veterans. It's also a really vital source of hope, comfort, and encouragement for those who have served our country with honor and valor.
Tell me if you're local- we will take you out to lunch. Send me a Private Message on FaceBook.
